Supporting Breast Cancer Awareness in Johnston County

October is breast cancer awareness month, and it’s the perfect time to give back to people in your community and raise awareness for this devastating disease. There are many ways to get involved right here in Johnston County. Check out some of these events throughout the month of October.

Ladies Night Out 9

Ladies Night Out

Tuesday, October 28
5 – 7  p.m. 

Join us for Johnston Health’s annual Ladies Night Out in recognition of breast cancer awareness and women’s health. We will be hosting an open house of Johnston Health Clayton where guests can tour the facility, meet staff and physicians, and learn about the services available in their community. We will also have refreshments, prizes, local vendors and more! Click here to register in advance and you will be entered to win a free massage from HealthQuest.

Carolina Premium Outlets Pink Event

The Carolina Premium Outlets are once again supporting Susan G. Komen and breast cancer awareness during the month of October. Visit the on-site Information Center to donate $10 to support the cause and receive 25% off one item from select stores.

Fit for the Cure

For every woman who gets a bra fitting during the Fit for a Cure event, Wacoal will donate $2 to Susan G. Komen, an additional $2 for every bra or shapewear piece sold.

Dillards in Raleigh – Oct. 10
Belk in Durham – Oct. 11

Bowl for the Cure

Come to the Rainbow Lanes Family Fun Center in Clayton on October 25 and bowl to support Susan G. Komen. Registration times are at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. The cost is $20 for adults and $10 for children which includes three games of bowling, shoe rental, and your donation. Also enjoy silent auctions, door prizes and raffles!
